Raiz Coffee Roasters: a store built for MB WAY and Multibanco
Brief
Raiz roasts and sells specialty coffee from a small unit outside Braga. Before this project, they sold only through a handful of local cafés and an Instagram page — no online store, no consistent visual identity, and no way for a customer outside Braga to order beans directly.
They had tried a generic store-builder trial once. It didn’t support Multibanco or MB WAY at all, so almost every Portuguese customer dropped off at checkout. They needed a store that felt as considered as their coffee, a brand identity to match, and a way for people to actually find them online.

Approach
We started with Branding — a mark and identity system built around the roastery’s own material (kraft packaging, paper bags, the roasting process itself) — then carried that system into a Store Growth build. Payment was the first technical decision, not the last: MB WAY and Multibanco were configured and tested before a single product page was designed, so checkout worked from day one instead of being bolted on afterwards. SEO followed once the store was live, targeting the specific searches — "specialty coffee Braga," "torrefação de café artesanal" — that would actually bring buyers.
What we delivered
Brand identity system: logo, packaging-ready palette, type specimen.
Store Growth build: bilingual, up to 500 products, MB WAY / Multibanco / card, certified invoicing.
A Technical SEO Audit, followed by 3 months of Local SEO.
An ongoing Care Plan (Plus tier).
Outcomes
Online orders went from zero to a steady weekly stream within the first quarter.
The store's checkout completion rate held above 90% once MB WAY and Multibanco went live.
Raiz now appears on the first page of results for "torrefação de café Braga" within four months of the technical audit.
"They wrote the store in English and Portuguese as if each was the original — and it takes MB WAY without a single support call since launch."
